Now Hiring: Senior Stair Installation & Delivery Specialist

Charlotte, NC | $75,000 Annual Salary + $15,000 Sign-On Bonus

Take your installation experience to the next level with Southern Staircase, part of Edge Building Solutions. We're looking for an experienced carpenter or installer to help deliver and install premium stair systems at residential and commercial construction sites.

This is a senior-level, hands-on field position for someone who understands carpentry, works confidently with tools and blueprints, and takes pride in quality workmanship. You'll handle both deliveries and installations, playing an important role in completing projects safely and accurately.

Compensation & Job Details

• Annual Salary: $75,000

• Overtime: Eligible; this is a non-exempt position

• Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 total, paid in three $5,000 installments at 12, 24, and 36 months of employment. You must be actively employed at each payout date.

• Location: Charlotte, NC

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, with additional hours as needed

• Company Vehicle: Provided

Key Responsibilities

• Install custom straight and curved stair systems at residential and commercial jobsites.

• Measure, cut, level, shim, and secure stair components using hand and power tools.

• Interpret blueprints and installation layouts to complete accurate installations.

• Load, transport, and unload stair materials weighing up to 75 pounds.

• Operate a 26-foot box truck to deliver materials and equipment to jobsites.

• Support warehouse operations and material preparation when needed.

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas while meeting quality expectations.

Required Qualifications

• At least 2 years of carpentry, framing, or woodworking experience.

• Proficiency with common carpentry tools, including saws, drills, levels, and measuring equipment.

• Ability to read blueprints and installation layouts and work independently.

• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record (MVR).

• Current DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.

• Must be at least 21 years old.

• Ability to lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 75 pounds.

• Comfort working in outdoor environments and active construction sites.
